Matteo joined the Brain Modulation Lab as a research fellow in 2021, after completing his PhD in Biorobotics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (2021). He received a BSc in Biomedical Engineering at Marche Polytechnic University (2014) and a MSc in Biomedical Engineering at University of Bologna (2017). He joined the Erasmus + Programme at Campus Biotech and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2016. He pursued a Research Fellowship at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois in Lausanne in 2017. His research interests lay at the intersection between neuroengineering, computational modeling, and clinical challenges to improve current DBS systems.
