Alan Bush, PhD

Alan received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. For his dissertation, he worked on signal transduction of G-protein coupled receptors from a Systems Biology approach. For his postdoctoral fellowship he transitioned to Neuroscience, studying the neurophysiology of vocal production in songbirds and humans. Dr. Bush is now the Brain Modulation Lab's faculty scientist for research involving DBS subjects, as Instructor of Neurosurgery at Mass General and Harvard Medical School.
