Dr. Rubin received his M.D./Ph.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his neurology residency and neurocritical care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. He joined the faculty at MGH in 2020, where he attends in the MGH Neuro ICU, on the acute stroke service, and in the outpatient Neurorecovery Clinic. As a faculty member of the Center for Neurotechnology and Neurorecovery (CNTR), he conducts research focused on the application of computational neuroscientific principals to problems encountered in clinical neurology to drive the development of novel tools and technologies to improve the outcomes of patients with neurologic injury. He is a principal investigator on the BrainGate clinical trial, the largest and longest running trial of an implanted brain computer interface.
